Ryan Péan, from Long Island, New York, is preparing to represent Team USA at the 10th World Pankration Athlima Championship in Timisoara, Romania.

Ryan's childhood heroes were Batman, his mother, and his sensei. Batman's perseverance, his mother's unwavering support, and sensei's martial arts guidance were the pillars of his inspiration and strength. His mother's decision to enroll him in martial arts, a choice that was aimed at channeling his energy and teaching self-defense, ignited a lifelong commitment to the sport.

Currently a senior at the University of La Verne, Ryan balances his studies with his job as a security guard and bouncer at Hollywood clubs and red-carpet events. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, exploring nature, riding his motorcycle, skateboarding, and working out.

Ryan is a three-time NAGA Kids Expert Division Champion and a two-time Gold medalist in Grappling X. He has won three Gold medals in NAGA as an adult. Additionally, he has secured three Gold medals in Long Island Pride and a Gold medal in Grapplers Quest. In high school, Ryan was an all-conference football player recruited to play football at the University of La Verne in 2020.

Ryan aims to inspire others to embark on their own martial arts journeys. By continuing to compete and showcase his skills, he hopes to demonstrate that anyone can achieve their dreams with hard work and dedication.
