Director Sixel Jehan, a 37-year-old martial artist from Pomona, CA, has dedicated her life to empowering others through movement arts and sports. From a young age, Jehan enjoyed swimming, singing, reading, and Tae Kwon Do, setting the stage for a lifelong passion for fitness and self-expression. Jehan's martial arts journey began at just 3 years old, following along with their older sister's Tae Kwon Do class. This early start ignited a lifelong passion for martial arts, leading to a black belt and eventually being part of the Ho Sook Yi Tae Kwon Do team, the first internationally competitive women's Tae Kwon Do team. Jehan admires Nagham Abu Samra, a Palestinian karate champion whose dream was to inspire more women to train, a dream Jehan hopes to honor. Jehan has a bachelor's degree in Dramatic Arts and Exercise Science from UC Santa Barbara and a Master's in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton. As a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist and Strength and Conditioning Coach, Jehan's expertise extends to helping others achieve their fitness goals. As a member of Team USA, Jehan aspires to connect with like-minded women, enhance their skills, and gain a platform for advocating empowerment through movement. Their mission is to eradicate shame and stigmas surrounding body image, inspiring others to move with confidence and stand in their power.
