Director Sixel Jared Barnes, at just 26 years old, embodies the resilience and determination of a true warrior. Born in Linda Vista, San Diego, Jared's early years were filled with a love for basketball, watching Dragonball Z, and embracing life's adventures. Tragedy struck at the tender age of 13 when Jared lost his mother. Despite this devastating loss, he refused to be defined by his circumstances. While pursuing his education, Jared faced homelessness multiple times. Despite everything that happened to him, Jared became a beacon of hope. As a student speaker for The Black and African American Advisory Panel for California Community Colleges, he uses his voice to inspire others to pursue their passions. Inspired by Kobe Bryant's work ethic and Mike Tyson's relentless drive, Martial arts became Jared's path to empowerment. Martial arts taught him that being a warrior is not just about physical strength but also mental fortitude. Jared's passionately pursues his education. He holds an associate's degree and is completing his bachelor's in Kinesiology. Jared works part-time at a local pizzeria to support his studies, showcasing his work ethic and determination. Showing he's still just a kid at heart, Jared impresses his friends with his uncanny ability to quote any episode from the first 3 seasons of SpongeBob Squarepants.
